The Club Impacts Character & Citizenship
Our goal...that Club members will be an engaged citizen involved in the community, register to vote and model strong character.

Every day, Clubs provide a wealth of programs and activities to prepare young people for real-world successes. By focusing on leadership and service, the children Clubs serve will be better prepared to thrive as adults and contribute to their communities and their nation.

Club alumni should be well-rounded individuals and a walking testament to what a successful program has to offer. Club members learn the value of themselves and others through a variety of character development programs such as Keystone & Torch Clubs, Youth for Unity and Service Learning. They establish relationships with caring, capable adults and they know that the Club is a safe place to just be themselves.
Giving back to the Baton Rouge community is also important and Club members are taught that early on. Middle and high school Club members perform service hours to better their communities. Helping with food drives, painting murals and visiting retirement homes on the holidays are just some of the ways that Boys & Girls Club members give back to the Baton Rouge community.
