A Day to BE...
Remember when you were younger and anything was
possible?
The Boys & Girls Club
strives to empower its members by teaching them that they can be anything they
want to be.
"
A Day to BE…” is one way to
expose members to all the possibilities available to them through hard work and
determination.
It is a day to be an engineer, a day to be a teacher, a day
to be a journalist—a day to be just like you!
On Tuesday, June 29, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge
will host its first ever "
A Day to BE…” event.
It will take place at the LSU Lawton Room on the LSU campus.
This mentoring program will give
Club members the opportunity to shadow individuals and learn how to BE in their
profession.
Tuesday, June 29,

9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
LSU Athletics Department, Lawton Room

This program is being funded by the Taco Bell Foundation
for Teens as a part of its national strategy to end
America’s dropout crisis.
Through exposure and a clear vision, kids
will continue to strive for good grades to reach their ultimate goal.
"
A Day to BE…” is just one way for the Club
to create more opportunities for real-world learning for the future of
Baton Rouge.
