Steak & Stake Dinner

Steak & Stake is the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge's largest and most important special event where we ask community members to take a "stake" in the youth of Baton Rouge by supporting the Club.

The 2010 Steak & Stake Dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 6 p.m. at the Baton Rouge RiverCenter. At the dinner, six adults share a table with three Club members and spend the evening getting to know each other. All in attendance enjoy outstanding entertainment including a performance from a Club choir, musical entertainment and energetic Club members as the masters of ceremony.

The most important outcome of a successful Steak & Stake Dinner, an event that has occurred annually for more than 15 years, is that more youth can attend a Boys & Girls Club where our mission is to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

About Steak & Stake 2009:

Club members hosted the 13th Annual Steak & Stake Dinner on November 3, 2009 at the RiverCenter. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a scrumptious steak from TJ Ribs and a wonderful presentation by our enthusiastic masters of ceremony, Jasmine and Adrian. Our guests were energized by entertainment provided by the choir from our Park Forest Club and a drum performance by members of our Forest Heights Club. Colorful balloons, positive energy and inspiring video testimonials by our members helped to create what the Boys & Girls Club is all about: The Positive Place for Kids. We are truly grateful for our generous Steak & Stake sponsors who made this important event a reality. We can’t wait until next year!
