Passport to Manhood Luncheon

Passport to Manhood

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge held our luncheon on Friday, May 6, 2011 where more than 50 business men came to the Camelot Club to have lunch with 50 Club members.   Each community leader exchanged ties with one Club member as a symbol of the young man’s commitment to improving his character and citizenship, one of the core values of the Boys & Girls Club.

Reed Dickens, CEO of Marucci and guest speaker at the event, said that the biggest obstacle facing the young generation is the acceptance of mediocrity. At the Boys & Girls Club’s annual Passport to Manhood luncheon, Dickens inspired Club members to strive for excellence.

The luncheon was a celebration of completion of the 16-week character enhancement program. Special thanks to Board Member Trey Cloud, event chair, and all of our board members who made this event a great success!
