Volunteer…It’s a great way to give back to your community!
Boys & Girls Club of Greater
Baton Rouge welcomes individuals who may want to contribute their time to working with our youth. Many opportunities are available in the areas of recreation and sports, arts and crafts, marital arts, drama, dance, music, leadership development, computer literacy training, and more! We love to share your talents, passion, and gifts with our Club members. Boys & Girl Clubs volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
There are four different volunteering categories that you can choose from depending on your individual interest and schedules.

On-going Volunteers
- (Commitment of longer than one month for 1—2 hours a week)
Volunteers interested in an extended commitment of service with the Boys & Girls Clubs (Examples: Tutoring, Homework Help, Mentoring, Coaching, Cheerleading, Dance & Choir, etc.)

Short-term Volunteers
- (Commitment of one month or less for 1-2 hours a week)
Examples: Speaking to a small group about a subject of interest such as homework help, camping, hiking, etc.

One-time Program Event Volunteers
- (Commitment for a one-time program event or project)
Examples: Career Days, Boys & Girls Club Week, Kids Dash, etc.

Service Learning Volunteers
- (Commitment for a designated length of time with established starting and ending dates)
Volunteers interested in completing required school/college community service hours.
Examples: Service Learning Classes, Sorority/Fraternities, Civic Organizations, etc.

All Club Program Volunteers will be asked to:
*Complete a volunteer application
*Attend a comprehensive volunteer orientation
*Clear a background check to ensure volunteer suitability
