Need Money for College? Join AmeriCorps!
AmeriCorps engages citizens of ages 17 and older to address the nation’s education, public safety and human needs. After successful completion of the program, AmeriCorps members receive an educational award to finance their college education/vocational training or to pay back student loans.
AmeriCorps members serve through thousands of nonprofit groups, public agencies, and faith- based organizations across the country to help meet the critical needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other human needs.
Program Structure:
Fall/Spring
Serve 15 hours per week
Monday – Friday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Summer Service Schedule
Serve 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m.
– 5:30 p.m.
Financial Reward:
Bi-Weekly Living Allowance
$2,362.00 EDUCATION AWARD after successfully completing the full term of service
