Homework Helpers                August  – April                       3:00 – 6:00 p.m.                     

Volunteers are needed to help with snacks, individual homework, and reading. Volunteers are needed Monday – Thursday


First Fridays                            August – April                        3:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Assist in programing and facilitate open play for elementary students first Fridays of each month.


Club Café                                 August –April                          4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Teach youth about the benefits of healthy habits. Volunteers are needed to empower youth with skills to adopt healthier habits by participating in fun engaging cooking activities.  Volunteers are needed Monday – Friday


Creative Crafts                       August–April                         4:30 – 5:30 p.m.         

Volunteers can host a craft project for club members by making decorations or holiday theme items. Volunteers are needed Monday- Friday


Club Inspire                            September–April                  

Club Inspire was created as a way to foster relationships between adults and Club members. Club Blue provides adults and opportunity to dedicate one day a month to invest in the life of a child.


Make A Difference Day         October

Make A Difference Day is the largest national day of community service. Millions of volunteers across the nation will unite with a common mission to improve the lives of others.


MLK Day of Service               January                                  8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Throughout the nation on this day, service activities reflect Dr. King's life and teachings, bring people together, break down barriers, and help solve problems through citizen action.


Global Youth Service Day      April

Celebrates and mobilizes millions of young people to improve their communities through service. Global Youth Service day is the largest service event in the world and the only one dedicated to the contributions that children and youth make 365 days of the year


Summer Read Aloud             June -July                                8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Reading is a significant part of the Club experience. Volunteers read aloud to Club members during the summer program. 

How to get started:

  1. Complete volunteer interest form will begin a conversation with out Director of Volunteer Services to determine the best volunteer placement for you.
  2. Background check: Boys & Girls Club requires all volunteers who engage with our Club members to pass a criminal background check.
  3. Once we have recieved your Volunteer Application and you succesfully pass the criminal background check, you will recieve a letter/email with instructions to schedule your Club orientation and interview. A photo ID will be required at the time of your orientation.
