The 2017 Great Futures Gala Honorees include:

Celebrating its second year, the Great Futures Gala will honor a select group of outstanding young professionals in the Greater Baton Rouge Area. This class of 15 Great Futures Gala Honorees represent movers and shakers in our community who are on a path to achieving a great future all while giving back and making the community a better place.
“We are thrilled to have such an impressive group of young, community-minded professionals for our second class of Great Futures Gala Honorees,” said the Club’s President and Chief Professional Officer Pat Van Burkleo. “Boys & Girls Club seeks to put youth on the path to a great future, and these Honorees are great role models and advocates for our Club Members.”
Honorees were selected by a prestigious committee of local leaders. Each honoree has committed to selling gala tickets and hosting fundraisers for the Club between now and March. Funds raised will support the Boys & Girls Club programs focusing on helping young people achieve academic success, live a healthy lifestyle and practice good character and citizenship.
“I am so proud of this inaugural class of Honorees and am excited to plan a thoughtful event that makes an impact on young people who need it most in Baton Rouge,” said Chelsey Laborde Blankenship, Gala Committee Chair. “I am confident this class will exceed expectations and make this a long-lasting event for the Boys & Girls Club.”
