Youth Volunteer Corps Comes to Boys & Girls Club

Capital Area United Way has hosted the Baton Rouge branch of Youth Volunteer Corps for the past 10 years. After deciding not to continue hosting the program, Boys & Girls Club was selected by both CAUW and the YVC Headquarters to become the new host agency.

YVC creates volunteer opportunities to address community needs, inspiring youth to a lifetime commitment to service and instilling a service ethic. This program helps youth become aware of community issues and shows them how they can make a difference.

Members, ages 11-18, engage in safe, challenging, rewarding, and educational service projects year round. Projects range from lasting two hours to spanning across multiple days.

To apply, you can find the application under the "What We Do" tab.
